All ready-made designs from our website or customised items are made once an order is placed, to conserve resources and our stance on being an eco-brand, we do not store furniture in our workshop because we believe in sustainable management.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css_animation=”right-to-left”]DECORWORKS is an artisan workshop, specialising in recycled wood home decor. Shop for recycled wood furniture from our collections, or you can design your own unique, made-to-order pieces just the way you like it to fit your home.

Our artisans collect old wood (door panels/ wardrobes/ boats etc) and beautifully restore the natural wood materials, making the process environmentally friendly and cost-efficient. All ‘ready-made’ designs and custom designs go through the same handmade process as we do NOT have any items stocked up in our workshop. As an alternative, you can also request any design on our site to be made with “brand new” wood. All ready-made or custom build designs take around 10-25 days to design, build and deliver to you.

Build furniture for your space, don’t waste time fitting your home to the furniture! All the pieces are crafted by hand and this process does take time, so please don’t expect factory speed and cookie-cutter precision.

All items can be customised to fit your own unique space. Just let us know your ideal measurements and we’ll do the rest. At present, our services only cover Hong Kong.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css_animation=”left-to-right”]BUYING DIRECT

The inspiration aka troublemaker of the company is definitely Sophie, our Design Director. Her journey started way back in Australia, working in the outdoors education field for school children, fast forward to her return to Asia and then her move to Hong Kong. After a few years of working in Hong Kong, Sophie went back to school at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) where she had a tremendous opportunity to join an environmental expedition to Antarctica and South America in 2010, while completing her post graduate degree.

Seeing first hand the effects of climate change and the debris from developing and developed countries reaching as far away as Antarctica, Sophie was inspired to do more at home in Hong Kong.

If you are keen to have Sophie visit your school or company to talk about the effects of climate change or recycling in Hong Kong, please email to sophie@decorworks.asia[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_fade” interval=”3″ images=”16377,16378,16379″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”700×500″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=”” el_id=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”16382″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”700X500″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]PAST INVOLVEMENTS

Background of C40 Climate Dialogue

Initiated by former President Clinton and the former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, C-40 consists of large cities committed to tackling climate change. The November 2010 event in Hong Kong brought cities together to discuss challenges and opportunities of creating modern, low carbon, high quality and liveable metropolitan centres, by increasing energy efficiency.

As part of the C40 Climate Dialogue, Sophie joined the panel alongside other explorers and professionals from the environmental sector for a discussion titled ‘Changing Mindset and Behaviour’on 4 November.

Besides school talks, Sophie has also hosted and moderated educational sessions in Hong Kong and continues to gain experience in various educational activities.

Moderating educational dialogue sessions for students and C40 Mayors (2010)

On 6 November 2010, students and teachers from Hong Kong attended an educational dialogue session between Mayor David Miller (Chair Mayor C40/ Toronto), Deputy Mayor Tom Miller (Portland), Vice Mayor Romel Pascual (L.A.), Mr. Edwin Lau (FoE, HK), and Princess Birgitta (Sweden). Sophie Tang was invited by C40 organiser to be the moderator for this first landmark session for Hong Kong students.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
